EAGE has received reports of fraudulent emails being sent to individuals associated with our conferences and workshops. These messages are sent by third parties with no connection to EAGE and are intended to mislead recipients into purchasing services or disclosing personal and financial information.
The emails may promote accommodation, travel arrangements, attendee databases, exhibition services or other event-related products while falsely implying an association with EAGE or one of our official suppliers.
EAGE does not sell or share participant data with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.
If you receive an unsolicited email referring to an EAGE event, it has not originated from any legitimate sharing of attendee information by EAGE.
Protect Yourself. Be sceptical of unexpected offers
If you receive an email offering services that you have not requested, particularly regarding accommodation, transportation, exhibition services or attendee lists, do not assume it is genuine simply because it refers to an EAGE event.
Check the sender carefully
Fraudsters frequently use company names, logos and email addresses that appear credible at first glance. Always verify the sender’s email domain before responding or following any instructions.

Official information relating to EAGE events is communicated through our websites, recognised EAGE communication channels and authorised partners. EAGE does not endorse unsolicited third-party offers for accommodation, travel services, attendee lists or other event-related products.
The security and privacy of our participants are of great importance to us. We actively monitor reports of fraudulent activity and encourage anyone who receives a suspicious message claiming to represent EAGE or one of our events to report it to eage@eage.org. Your vigilance helps us protect the wider EAGE community.
